About the event
Sticks ,Stones, & Pinecones
Come stack, balance, build, and create in the Pine Wood Classroom! During Sticks, Stones & Pinecones, children are invited to use sticks, stones, pinecones, bark, leaves, and other natural materials to build tiny shelters, stick bridges, pinecone towers, woodland villages, animal homes, and whatever else their imaginations dream up.
Families can enjoy open-ended play at Newton Patio and nearby nature stations, along with a short circle time and a 15-minute outdoor story time. This play day is all about natural loose parts, building, pretending, problem-solving, and joyful collaboration.
Registration: Children ages 3–6.
Cost: $3 per registered child. Accompanying adults and younger siblings are free. Currently enrolled Creekside families may attend at no cost. Younger siblings may accompany their caregiver, but activities and materials are planned for preschool-aged children. Caregivers are responsible for supervising all children they bring.
