Year One: Ages 3–4 (Frog and Grasshopper 2026-2027)

• ​Children must be 3 years old by September 1 of the program year.

• Children may turn 4 during the year.

• These groups focus on foundational independence, cooperation, and safe outdoor participation.

Year Two: Ages 5–6 (Cardinal and Dragonfly 2026-2027)​

• Children must be 5 years old by September 1 of the program year.

• Children may turn 6 during the year.

• These groups emphasize leadership, responsibility, and deeper inquiry.

Four-Year-Old Placement

Four-year-old children are typically enrolled in the Frog or Grasshopper groups. Placement into the Cardinal or Dragonfly groups is determined by developmental readiness and director discretion.

Final placement decisions are made by Creekside Nature Unschool to ensure group balance and safety.
