About the event
Some animals slither. Some creep. Some fly through the dark. Some have claws, scales, spines, giant ears, or eight legs.
But spooky-looking doesn’t mean scary.
Join Creekside Nature Unschool and Incredible Bats for a one-hour live animal encounter featuring an incredible lineup of animal ambassadors. Families will get an up-close look at animals that are often misunderstood while discovering the science behind the features that make them so unusual.
Why does a bat hang upside down? What are those giant ears for? Why does a snake flick its tongue? How do spines, scales, claws, camouflage, and other adaptations help animals survive?
Children will observe, compare, ask questions, and discover that some of nature’s strangest-looking creatures are also some of its most fascinating.
